  The previous reviewer had the misfortune of encountering the "in between" owner. The wonderful Greek family who had owned the deli sold it - all but two of the staff were family members and they were simply worn out. But the man they sold it to knew nothing about running a business so, eventually, they (the family) bought it back. That's just the sort of folks they are: couldn't stand seeing this guy destroying something they, and their customers, loved. I hope that Terry tries it again: the food is fresh, the hot things cooked exactly they way you want it, you can get excellent suggestions of wine or beer, if you want something that isn't on the menu they'll do their very best to make it for you and, of course, if a customer has a problem it's resolved instantly. They're also great people. Plus they know their customers by name; remember their preferences - even after two years away; treat them as friends or neighbors; and go above and beyond any customer service I've ever encountered at a deli. The "in between" owner was trying to turn the store into a high-end wine shop. It's gone back to what it was: a good deli that's also a liquor store, a good liquor store that's also a deli, a place run by cousins and aunts and uncles etc. Some of them moved to the area specifically because it *is* a family business and they're family. They treat their customers the same way.
